This is a wine that really sums up the whole Australian/Italian story - take an Italian varietal, plant in Victorias King Valley, and boom! Bright red fruits, raspberries and cherries, and an earthy spiciness leap out of the glass. This is spicy, savoury, mouth-filling and delicious. A wonderful medium to full bodied wine that combines the plump juiciness of Shiraz with the earth and savouriness of Sangiovese. All the vigour and light of the Aussie country with the rustic charm of the Tuscan country side.
"Sangiovese is really one of the easiest wines to drink, something it has in common for me with pinot noir and nebbiolo, and this one combines all those smooth easy to palate elements with the richness of a Shiraz. Bottoms up!"
