This rosé wine is made from Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon using the ‘Saignée Method’. This is the practice of removing ("bleeding off") some of the juice from the must to deeply concentrate the phenolics, colour and flavour of the wine. The wine is a deep ruby red in colour and is fragrant and floral on the nose with a hint of spice under gentle cherry and strawberry fruit characters.
A simple expression but not a simple wine - Bright and crisp, with yummy stone fruits and a whiff of herbal and mineral notes that reverberate on the fruity but tight round palate. Nice crushed raspberry fruit with a hint of lingonberry with a soft richness grounded by good acidity and some fine tannins. This settles into a long, decisive, balanced driven finish, with a great persistence of fruit.
