Light, clean drinking rose that ticks all the boxes. Light pink in colour, aromas of citrus and rose petal give way to a juicy mid-palate, the finish slightly drying.
Awards and Accolades
2013 Vintage: 91 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Companion "Drinks much like a white wine. Aromatic, fruit-driven, citrus, apple and rosewater. Dry, woody cherry notes walk a delicate line between sweetness and savouriness. Juicy is the word. Lively."
From the Winery
Fruit was hand harvested in the cool of the night, chilled and received in the winery with 8 hours of picking. The fruit was destemmed and crushed to press for three to four hours of skin contact (to give it the rose colour), before being gently pressed to tank. Pressings were gentle and cuts were kept separate. The free run portions were fermented long and cool (12-14 deg C) in tank to retain aromas. The pressings were racked to barrel and had a warmish 20 - 24 deg C ferment. Long settling enabled minimal filtration prior to bottling.
