Wow - what a superb vintage. This wine is exclusive to Wine Box Warehouse and an absolute treat! A dark cherry, rich and spicy Shiraz from a low yielding vintage with all the hallmarks. Dark fleshy Cherries, berries, pepper and spice and at this price is simply a steal.
The majority of fruit from Langhorne Creek really shows superb varietal strengths. Mature vine fruit is evident by hearty earthy plum chocolate characters. A huge lick of ripe fruit and some lovely balance with oak tannins provide layers of wonderful, silky length combined with the background tannins make this a pretty sensational deal at around $28.00 dollars let alone this price! All round we have a very good buy for you here indeed. Get your hands on this one before it vanishes as I have limited stocks only.
A warm to hot vintage for most of southern Australia giving ripe and generously flavoured reds. Being consumers of a wide range of styles, the Brokenwood crew is always keen to make distinctive, easy to drink styles.
From the Winery: Mid density colour with purple edges. Aromas of red cherry, spice and earthy edges. Mid weight palate and soft Shiraz richness. The oak regime is mainly older American and French so limited impact although some vanillin on both nose and palate with a long sweet finish. Excellent fruit flavours and balance being the features of the wine.
Rich seafood, pasta and light meat dishes. A drink now style that will further soften with short term bottle maturation.
