WINEMAKER’S NOTES – Usher Tinkler:
Cockfighter's Ghost McLaren Vale Shiraz 2007 is deep black-red in colour. The palate is full with sweet fruit flavours of ripe mulberries, spicy blackberries and ripe plums, which combine with fine tannins to provide good depth of flavour and length. This wine will continue to
improve for five to eight years if stored under optimum conditions.
It is an ideal accompaniment to a wide variety of foods, especially
hearty red meat dishes such as oven roasted leg of lamb, rare roast beef, barbecued steak and mature cheddar cheese.
