Deep ruby red in colour, a sniff reveals ripe plum and cherry with spicy undertones. The palate is rich and full flavoured, with spice and vanillin notes complimenting one another.
Ready to enjoy now but will also soften and develop complexity.
From the Winery
Azahara derives from the Spanish for (orange blossom’. Sourced from our family owned vineyards in Victoria, interspersed with citrus and mango.
The very best of our Shiraz parcels were fermented in sweeping-arm Potter fermenters for seven days to aid extraction of tannins and flavour. At the pressing stage the most promising fractions were selected and aged for three months on premium French oak until final assemblage of the finished blend.
