This wine shows up a deep, vibrant red in the glass. The appetite starts with the aromas of rich blueberries with subtle notes of menthol and black pepper highlighted by some spicy vanillin oak.
The palate is rich and juicy with blueberry characters and well-balanced oak. The palate shows good structure with medium tannins and a lingering finish. The finest parcels of fruit were aged in French and American oak and were brought together in the final blend. The result is a balanced palate with luscious fruits made in a drink now style.
The fruit for this wine was harvested from Deakin Estate's vineyards in the Murray Darling region of North West Victoria.
