Geoff Hardy GMH Shiraz 2009 |

Now we are starting to see the true colours have a fantastic 2009 Vintage, this little bottler of a wine will absoultey stop some big $50 Shiraz in their tracks and have them running home for the shed! There is some really interesting wine making going here and just quietly our panel of serious winedrinkers sat down to judge this with all giving it GOLD CLASS status! A seriously giant serving of spectacular fruit from Limestone Coast swooshes generous flavour with supple yet nicely engaging and grippy tannins. With very impressive ripe, dark blackberry fruit this wine takes off immediately to engage the palate with some spicy wild pepper and dark raspberries and a lovely wash of fine tannins that linger in the mouth leaving you wanting more. The wine is far more than you expect and delivers a real punch of satisfying fruit with layers of nicely melding pepper and spice and Oak combining beautifully now. My good friends remind me as we get bigger, better and smarter about putting quality into your cellars to keep them informed of the STEALS! So, my friends, here you have it. The last two vintages of this wine have bolted out the gates and early reports on the '09 are we're going to need a better padlock!
