This wine is a dark red with a purple hue. Bright, intense aromas of dark fruits; plum, cherry, blackberry along with savoury earth and dark florals. The bright, vibrant fruits follow on the palate. Generous, sweet dark fruits through the middle, a touch of spice with rustic, grainy tannin and earthy flavours skirting the edges. Finishes dark, rugged and spicy. Plenty of interest!

Over the past 55 years our family has developed and nurtured a mosaic of vineyards across the Clare Valley, each unique in site, soil and aspect. Distinct parcels of fruit are selected to make wines that reflect the vineyard from which the grapes are grown. Picked at optimum ripeness from our Watervale vineyard and matured in French oak, this wine shows the elegance and restraint of this cool site.

Wine has been flowing in the Clare Valley since 1851 and is an integral part of the culture. It is one of Australia’s most prestigious premium wine regions, most famous for its Riesling and Shiraz.
