Don't look past Kilikanoon for brilliant, expressive Clare Valley Shiraz. The glass is striking brick red with flecks of crimson tint. Lovely earthy aromas of dark cherry, toasty spice and liquorice on the nose. There is fantastic ripeness to the palate, having benefitted from a favourable vintage. There's a great depth of dark fruit on the palate, intermingling with French oak spiciness and touches of white pepper. Grainy tannins allow the wine to linger nicely, and provide a persistent finish.
This is absolutely one for the cellar, with 10+ years potential. A versatile wine that can be enjoyed with our without food. Recommended with anything from roast beef or lasagne to lamb chops.

Robert Parker Jr on winemaker Kevin Mitchell "He demonstrates a brilliant touch with Riesling as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. The cuvees produced under the 'Killerman's Run' label all represent terrific bargains"
From the winery:
Our Killermans Run Shiraz is made from premium parcels of fruit selected from right across the Clare Valley. Traditional winemaking techniques; including pumping over by hand, basket pressing and keeping all parcels separate until the final assemblage, has created a wine of tremendous varietal power, regional character and consistent quality.
A classic, regionally inspired Shiraz favoured by an excellent vintage, characterised by a wet winter and spring and cooler harvest conditions, enabling all parcels of fruit to be picked at the optimum time.
