OMG! I was very lucky to review this vintage release ( 7 medals ) Coonawarra Shiraz from 2001 and immediately snapped the lot up for you. Selected from premium parcels of fruit this classic Coonawarra Shiraz has benefited from extended maturation in new French oak hogsheads for 26 months. This elegant wine has ripe fruit characters with spicy and generous rich red berry flavours. The wine exhibits balanced subtle tannins and an impressive palate that has grown into its French Oak and now is just a smooth, seamless beast that is powerful and svelte with ongoing depth and impressive layered intensity.
Enjoy , Drink well.
