A medium bodied wine showing an intense crimson red colour and a bright purple hue. The aroma is of dark cherries and cloves with a subtle oak influence. Vibrant flavours of ripe berry fruits and stewed plums on the palate are made more complex by mocha chocolate characters and balanced by a soft and luscious mid-palate texture. And, not to mention, Talk about bang for your buck!
From the Winery
With 650 acres under vine, Oxford Landing could never be called small but they act like they are. They micro-manage 130 five-acre blocks as separate ecosystems so they become intimately familiar with each block and can give the grapes exactly what they need to achieve optimum flavour. ‘Small vineyard’ techniques such as detailed pruning, canopy management and crop thinning give us ultimate control in expressing the individuality of each block. And they are nimble enough to harvest small batches of the fruit as soon as it ripens, so not an ounce of freshness is lost.
