The 2014 Vintage was different to the last couple of years and the amazing quality of this wine speaks volumes of the wine maker and Vigneron. The dark inky blue wine sits in the glass awaiting further inspection. The aromas are all wild blue berries and violets with spice and hints of anise. The was to the palate is intense and with wonderful power as dense luscious brambly dark fruits , swirl with oak and a medium bodied tannin base sits behind the onslaught. A wine to be carefully considered, it sits well above its price point , however cellaring will be the interesting factor , as this may just go the golden mile!

Previous Accolades and Awards:

2013: 92 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion
"Good colour; a well made medium-bodied shiraz that proclaims its variety and place of birth, dark chocolate wrapped around the core of black fruits and ripe tannins, oak an afterthought. Balance is the key."

2012: 96 Points - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion
"Impenetrable purple-crimson; the bouquet is redolent of spiced, poached plum, blackberry and dark chocolate, the palate at once luscious yet refined, the flavours intense yet not jammy, long but not tannic. A prime example of not assessing wine by numbers; the grapes were picked at precisely the right time, a point as the French would have it. Fabulous value."
