Brilliantly deep in colour, with rich chocolately notes a beautiful hint of the full bodied flavour upon the palate. Wonderfully full of flavour this Shiraz will go perfectly with spicy italian or spanish food.
From the Winery
Over the past decade, some special pockets of land have consistently stood out to the winemakers for their quality and individual character. Fruit from these vineyards was set aside, and made in small batches to highlight this character as single vineyard wines. The commitment of each grower is recognised with their signature on the label. Our tightly held VSV - Very Special Vineyard - wines are only made in exceptional years when a single site delivers the ultimate harmony of varietal and region. 2013 was Peter Lehmann’s last vintage and it is indeed serendipitous that this 2013 VSV was crafted entirely from Shiraz grown on Peter and Margaret Lehmann’s Stonewell Hill vineyard. The wine shows rich dark plum flavours and finishes with firm, fine grained tannins—it will age magnificently for ten years or more.
Exceptional bright deep purple colour with dark plum and chocolatey notes proceed a rich rounded and mouthfilling style of Shiraz.
Match with a spicy Spanish chorizo omelette filled with kipfler potatoes, fresh mushrooms and sautéed onion
