A mulberry with a hint of ground black pepper and charry oak bouquet, precedes a medium to full bodied with a warm rich texture wine. The blackberry and savoury fruit predominates. The flavours finish with toasty vanilla oak giving the palate length and richness.
The wine spent twenty four months in second and third use French and American oak barriques.
Awards and Accolades
2008 Vintage: 93 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion "Has stood the test of time very well; blackberry and plum flavours are infused with notes of cedar, new leather and earth; the tannin and acid balance is excellent, the medium-bodied palate long and satisfying. ready now, but will hold. Very good value."
