Saddlers Creek One Wheel Shiraz 2010 |

|
This is a big, bold wine from mixed parentage regions - Limestone Coast, Langhorne Creek & Adelaide Hills & a "Crackerjack" Shiraz - full bodied, luscious and palate washing, captivating Shiraz, with distinct layers of aromatic spicy fruit and integrated oak flavours all with a nice comfortable in your face smugness & complexity.
While the wine is large in character it is at the same time wonderfully generous & silky in texture and alluring in providing a satisfying finish. Subtle scents of oak and vanilla coffee beans combine with smooth flavours of ripe berries and spicy pizza bread and finishing with the slightest hint of chocolate.
The wine was fermented in open vats with maximum skin contact and it was then matured for 8 months in new American and 1 year old French barriques. A small quantity of wine, 300 cases in total. Be quick drink well all year round! A special occasion wine. Ideal as a special gift for a friend or that 'significant' dinner meeting. The mouth filling voluptuous nature of this wine makes it ideal with all full flavoured foods. We suggest roasted shoulder of Lamb “old fashioned” with a garnish of Rosemary and Mint.
