The Principal Central Victoria Shiraz 2009 |

I have established The Scholars' series of wines to reflect the best regional wines I can get my hands on, delivering to you beautifully made wines, showing intense regional and varietal terroir that will satisfy the most single minded scrutiny, for top class quality and value. Look out for these wines as they will blow your socks off!
Coming form the heartland of earthy, rustic Shiraz, this release on the Principal label delves into the tenacious, fertile soil of Central Victoria to produce a wine of determined finesse; one that expresses the region's rugged qualities. Replete with blackberries, vanilla notes and leathery oak, it has a backbone of fine tannins and a hint of eucalyptus. Fantastic drinking now, especially with rib eye, but will cellar for another five years at least.
