Bourbon is America's unique take on Whiskey. Generally produced in Kentucky, Bourbons' rise to fame started in the nineteenth century. No one is really sure of the origins but what we have today is an ever expanding market for the golden brown liquid.
Maker's Mark simply screams quality and is well known for the hand dipped wax seal that covers the cork. This bourbon is about tradition and a continuation of it; it is made using the sour mash method and then allowed to age for five, seven or eight years. The aging process is left up to the tasting panel, which includes the master distiller and each batch is tasted no less than five times before it is given a green light.
