  42 Degrees South Chardonnay 2015

42 Degrees Chardonnay.gif

Made by Frogmore Creek wines, 42 degrees south relates to the central latitude of Tasmania. This is an unwooded chardy, which means pure fruit expression is the go here. Aromas of white stone fruits, yellow citrus, dairy and nuts float out of the glass. Meanwhile the palate is lighter-bodied and creamy, with succulent citrus flavours, a nice line of flinty acidity, and a fresh, frisky finish. A nice chilli and lime marinated chicken would be awesome with this!

Grape variety: 100% handpicked Chardonnay.

Vineyards: Coal River Valley, Southern Tasmania.

Tasting notes: Fresh stone fruit and ripe grapefruit aromas meld together, following to a soft fig and pecan flavoursome palate. Elegant cool climate mineral acid lengthens the experience.

Food matching suggestions: Went well with pâté de campagne on toast.
