Medium straw colour with an eye-catching pale gold hue. Aromas of stone fruit, rockmelon are complemented by toasted oak and nutty, cashew hints. The palate delivers plentiful tropical fruit, with nutty and light toast characteristics developing through the soft and long finish. This is one to enjoy right away, but will continue drinking well to 2019.
From the Winery
Harvested in the cool of the evening, the grapes were sent straight to the winery where they were immediately pressed. The free run and pressings fractions were kept separate and cold settled for 48 hours prior to racking and inoculation with carefully selected yeast. Cool, slow fermentation preceded blending, gentle filtration and bottling on our estate.
Awards and Accolades
2015 Vintage: Barry Weinmann, Fine Wine Club “Smells like a proper Chardonnay, with quite ripe stonefruit characters. The palate has gentle creamy notes, hints of honey, musk and even a touch of minerality. The fi nish is clean and neutral, with a textural component that will work well with food. Good value quaff and great value for those on a tight budget.”
2015 Vintage: Mike Frost, Frost on the Vine "There’s stone fruit, melon and a dash of oak on the nose and palate of this well-priced white from South Australia. It’s one to enjoy young and fresh by itself or with fresh seafood or chicken kebabs.”
