A medium bodied chard with a tightly packed bouquet of peach, cashew and vanilla oak, with a long finish. Enjoy this with your next chicken dish.
Fresh early January rains prepared vines for what was to be a mild & then dry Riverina vintage. The cooler temps allowed for great depth in pungent fruit aromas and allowed the retention of natural acid in most varieties. Quality is well above average.
Vegetarian & Vegan friendly
Winemaking 70% of fruit grown by De Bortoli in Riverina from the Nericon Vineyard planted to Chardonnay back in 1993. Blended with one other local Riverina grower whose vines were planted back in '78. Fruit is harvested at night, pressed and left to settle until the next day. Some of the juice is pressed straight to barrel for a natural ferment. Warm fermentation & extended lees contact help give a wine full of flavour and texture. No preservatives such as SO2 are added until bottling. 70% of wine has gone through MLF naturally and mostly in barrel.
