A great chardonnay to enjoy on the beach on a lovely summers evening with Fish & Chips. The crisp citrus flavours compliment the light texture of the wine. Enjoy chilled and its a real winner!
Reviews
2016 Vintage: 90 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion "Josef Chromy's wines all speak of an assiduous attention to detail. This is an easy-going, crunchy, light to mid-weighted Chardonnay that rings strongly of cool climate genetics without the bells and whistles of the wines higher up the range. These include high-wire mineral tones, bright acidity and dutiful melon and green apple flavours."
From The Winery
Colour Pale Straw
Aroma Lifted fruit notes of white peach, mango with banana and ripe citrus aromas
Palate A complex textural palate featuring lemon tart, melon and cantaloupe fruit flavours. The green apple acidity provides focus and freshness to the palate.
Wine Makers Notes Hand picked Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed and the juice is transferred to stainless steel tank. Fermentation is started immediately and this is kept cool to retain aromatics. Full juice solids are retained for fermentation to give richness and texture. Stabilisation and clarification is carried out quickly after fermentation in order to get the wine into bottle quickly to retain freshness and zest.
