The Nautilus Chardonnay is 100% handpicked, whole bunch pressed and wild fermented. Malolactic fermentation is kept low to preserve the balance and purity of the fruit flavours.
The wine is rich and complex whilst still retaining freshness, with citrus, apricot and mineral flavours and an enchantingly long pure finish. Nautilus Chardonnay is another great food pairing wine – with good weight but in a dry style with fresh acidity.
From the Winery:
Chardonnay may just be Marlborough’s most underrated wine style. Wine Enthusiast Editor Joe Czerwinski believes it is New Zealand’s best white wine, and calls New Zealand the “Burgundy of the South Pacific”. It is certainly a wine that we love to make and love to drink. It is only available in very small quantities and always surprises and delights people who taste it with us.
