The Stone Dwellers is grown exclusively on a family estate and is selected to showcase the best varietal examples from the Strathbogie Ranges each vintage.
The family vineyards rest amidst the ancient granite boulders of the Strathbogie Ranges. Cloudless days and cool nights allow the grapes to gradually develop intense aromas and flavours. The ‘hands-off’ winemaking philosophy lets the wines express the true personality of varieties from this region, every vintage.
The Strathbogie Ranges are inland, cool and elevated and are characterised by ancient granite boulders. The soil in the Strathbogie Ranges is typically sandy clay loam overlying orange clays of varying depths.
This wine is straw in colour with a fresh green hue. Tropical aromas of peach and pawpaw meld with oak spice and lovely yeasty notes. The palate is full bodied, marrying hints of zest with a delightful creaminess resulting from 10 months on yeast lees.
