The Professor Central Vic Chardonnay 2013

This single estate, hand made chardonnay from one of Victoria's premium wine regions simply delights from the get go! It's a wine for all people delivering a succulent, deeply satisfying wine that has plenty of depth and oak to make a layered, lush, lasting impression.

Offering a yummy broad fruit palate with well balanced acidity, on the nose there are gorgeous lifted aromas of apple, pear, panela sugar and a light mineral note. On the palate it's crisp, smooth and still acid driven, backed up by lasting oak characters that will develop further with bottle age. This sessionable wine doesn't overstay or under stay its welcome on the finish.

Grab a piece of pork , a BBQ and baste with a sauce to make a perfect dinner companion , tell your mates so they have some for you when you get round to their place?

From the Producer

This wine was crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes, sourced primarily from vineyards in the Murray Darling region in South Eastern Australia. Grapes were picked and crushed during the cool of night to retain their fresh, varietal flavour. The juice was then divided into five parcels - each parcel of juice undergoing a different treatment which resulted in an individually flavoured parcel of wine.

The summer of 2012 / 2013 was hot and dry - the hot weather ripening grapes out of the 2013 vintage early and the dry spell allowing the sugars to develop fully. Balancing sugar and acid was tricky this year, however the vintage ended with a bang with great flavour ripeness being achieved at the last minute. 2013 will go down as a cracking year, with excellent overall quality.
