Fans of complex and textured Yarra Valley Pinot Gris will be over the moon to discover Rob Dolan's take on this variety.
This Gris has the most alluring and beguiling colour, a gorgeous hue of peachiness due to a small amount of time on skins. Notes of pear, red apple, nectarine and mixed spice on the nose tantalise the nose, a taste revealing a textural palate, finishing savoury and fresh.
Rob Dolan was awarded the Newcomer Winery of the Year at the James Halliday Australian Wine Companion Awards in 2014 and its wines like this that show us exactly why.

2016 Vintage: 93 Points - Ned Goodwin, Wine Companion "It is refreshing to see a gris that has not had the colour and stuffing knocked out of it by carbon fining. Indeed, this wine is of a bright copper hue, segueing to crunchy red apple, nashi pear, a melody of citrus and ginger notes. The palate is suitably rich and viscous; the wine's modus operandi, texture. Gentle acidity and a phenolic pucker keeps things on the straight and narrow. A good drink."
2014 Vintage: 90 Points - Huon Hooke for The Age Epicure, Sydney Morning Herald “The bouquet is rich in ripe vanilla, strawberry characters. The palate is more restrained, with softness and balance, a long finish and more character than most gris” – Huon Hooke for The Age Epicure, Sydney Morning Herald and The Real Review – 90 Points
