Here we have a grigio that is a bit more gris-like due to its rich and fleshy personality. Poached pears and apple pie smells lift from the glass, along with hints of yellow citrus. The citrus comes through stronger on the palate, with licks of pears and almonds, bright acidity, and a decent, zesty finish. Great with some Thai fishcakes!
From the Winery
The wetlands of the Murray Darling Region are integral to maintaining the health of the unique, yet fragile ecosystems of South Eastern Inland Australia. Trentham Estate’s ‘River Retreat’ range of wines is based on an initiative dedicated to raising awareness of these wetlands. Each purchase of the River Retreat label results in a donation to the Murray Darling Environmental Foundation.
Pale green in colour with aromas of fresh apple and pear. Flavours of apple and pear carry through on the palate with some light citrus notes. A light, soft yet fresh wine to be enjoyed on any occasion.
