Light straw coloured with flecks of green. The nose offers delicate florals, zesty citrus and some hints of tropical fruit. The palate carries through with more tropical fruit, lemon-lime zest and a touch of guava. The finish is soft with moderate length.

Windsor Dobbin, Sunday Examiner "This has to be one of the best wine bargains to be found right now. A new-release made in an easy-drinking style, this offers attractive lifted aromatics, citrus zest and Granny Smith apple crispness with just a hint of fruit sweetness while still finishing quite dry. A wine for enjoying well chilled, perhaps paired with spicy Asian dishes or some Portuguese chicken. The sauvignon blanc in the same range is also very appealing and I liked the merlot as well."
87 Points - Ralph Kyte-Powell, Sydney Morning Herald "Good warm weather drinking at a low price, this South Australian riesling is a plump, juicy, ripe-tasting mouthful that signs off clean and fresh."
Top Drops - Chris Shanahan, Courier Mail "....the wine shows both the floral and citrus side of the riesling grape, in a delicious, round, juicy, drink-now, dry style.”
Steve - QWine “Lemons and limes bust out a dance. There’s a likeness to lemon meringue pie here too. Fruit is deliciously moreish and peels back to reveal some green apple which rides through to a crisp finish. Sessional deluxe. A great match for Asian foods with a little kick. Bargain of the year? It’s certainly up there.
From the Winery
Sourced from our Nanya Vineyard in the Riverland from our own “heritage” clone of Riesling originally planted by Tom Angove in the early 70’s. This particular clone of Riesling produces an extremely varietally expressive wine in our region. Cuttings have since been grafted to new rootstocks to re-establish this heritage on modern trellising with drip irrigation – the legend continues.
The Vintage was generally good, rains in spring lead to minimal requirement for irrigation, good crops being set and abundant canopies which would be needed to ripen the fruit to perfection. This year has been great for aromatic varietal expression, and this Riesling is no exception. A warm early January period ensured fantastic flavour development and a harvest of exceptional grapes. Picked late at night to harvest the grapes as cold as possible the grapes were transported to the winery and pressed using modern membrane tank presses. After cold settling the clear juice was carefully racked to cooled fermentation tanks and inoculated with selected yeasts. Cool fermentation was followed by minimal handling, filtration and bottling at the Angove winery.
