I have a huge fan base for aged Riesling - wines that build momentum as they age and this small shipment is all that's left of the stunning 2006 Vintage. A 94 point review from Halliday has I think continued to better itself with that wonderful process that occurs with rich, dry Rieslings. This has become a terrier of a wine, incessantly demanding my attention to open fridge- and pour. Grab some wontons from the freezer, a bowl of dipping sauce, and settle in for a wonderful time.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a come hither hue. Still very youthful looking. The nose displays aromas of citrus intermixed with some light toasty kero and toast nuances followed by spice end notes. The palate has plenty of life with lemon and light honeyed characters prevalent over some toastiness and spice on the back palate. Clean crisp acidity with a dry finish. Aftertaste of citrus, honeyed toastiness and light kero.
