Here we have a ripe but elegantly styled savvy from one of our best winemakers - Steve Pannell. It's not an 'in your face' type of wine, in fact, it's almost svelte in its character, with appealing smells of subtle tropical, apples and limey citrus on the nose. The palate is juicy and fruity, with orchard fruits and citrus flavours, a rounded, rich mouthfeel, and a zesty, refreshing finish. Excellent with a Thai salad.
Accolades and Awards:
2015 Vintage: 95 Points - James Halliday, Wine Companion "Hand-picked and sorted, free-run juice cool-fermented in tank. There is a subliminal savoury edge to the bouquet and palate, possibly from more than one yeast at work, and also to crisp, crunchy acidity. You pick up the extra level of flavour from ripe (not overripe) fruit on the back-palate and finish. Has the X-factor many sauvignon blancs lack."
