  Wairau Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Wairau Sauvignon Blanc .gif

Produced from some of the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines in the heart of Marlborough, this excellent example shows expressive aromatics of gooseberry and passionfruit and the palate is refined and elegant.

Wairau River (pronounced why-raow) produces wines exclusively sourced from the family estate vineyards, that were first established in 1978 by Phil & Chris Rose.

Hand tended in small batches from vine to bottle, low crops and ultra ripe fruit are utilised to produce premium wine that has become renowned for exhibiting intense fruit characteristics and classical elegance.

This wine offers an intense lifted nose of ripe tropical fruits and citrus. The wine is refined and elegant, displaying a finely textured palate with flavours of guava and stone fruit. Wonderfully expressive with a dry refreshing finish this wine is best savoured with high-jinks and convivial company.
