Orange is simply a fantastic High altitude, long ripening region with a seasonality to produce excellent fruit of premium quality. This Merlot is probably the BEST Quality we have sold this year and that is a Big Statement!

The nose shows very complex aromas of wild berry fruits & licorice with a background of nutty French oak. The palate has medium full bodied intense berry fruit flavours
with sweet nutty oak & long drying soft fruit tannins.

Since rescued from the large Southcorp range, the Kirby family has improved these wines highlighting the classic varieties from classic regions. All said and done this Merlot has terrific fruit, a generous medium bodied wine with fine soft tannins and a wonderful elegance which is what the grape should be all about.

Impressive stuff. I have to admit that this is a particular favourite of mine from all those restaurant days, on the floor watching sophisticated couples finishing dinner with a beautiful dessert and a glass of this liquid gold!

Medium hues of yellow gold twinkle from the bottle suggesting the depth and lovely mouthfeel that awaits within. Boy, this does not let you or dessert down.

Lovely lifted perfumed nose with a bright floral edge. This sweet wine is full of interest and not at all cloying. Although the palate is rich-textured, sweet and grape-like, there's a lightness to it, with good acidity and a sugary, caramelized finish.
