Area: Labastide d'armagnac, Gers, South West, France Appelation: Grand Bas Armagnac Grapes: Ugni Blanc, Colombard, Mauzac et Baco 22A. Armagnacs are aged in the typical oak barrels from the area. Their degree of alcohol is just the result of the natural ageing due to a very humid cellar.
Tasting Notes: Strong Vanilla oak and char on the nose with lemony medicinal herb fruit. The spirit is a bit in your face. Simple and nutty wheaty in the mouth, almost peanut, and chewy dry. Hot peppery to finish with unusual peanut husk mouth aromas.
