This is essentially everything you want from an Italian white, bright gold in colour with a bouquet of acacia flowers, lemon zest, and the green of the vine over an expressive mouthful of flavours that are both dry and refreshing, making for something wonderfully harmonious. Drink out of a tumbler full of ice (or a wine glass if you’re a perfectionist) with deep fried zucchini blossoms, or a good antipasto with friends.
From the Winery
For centuries, the Allegrini family has defined winemaking in the Valpolicella area north of Verona, while continually engaging in their tireless pursuit of perfection. Today, they operate one of the most highly acclaimed Italian estate wineries, renowned in particular for their exceptional Amarone production.
Corte Giara is an innovative project, started in 1989 by the Allegrini family and a selected group of grape growers in Valpolicella, the renowned winemaking district in Veneto, in north-eastern Italy. Corte Giara's philosophy is to deliver high value wines, made for everyday drinking, with a modern and stylish appeal, that are true to their roots, as well as eclectic.
