Ladbroke Grove Compadres Blend Cabernet Merlot 2003

Ladbroke Grove Compadres Blend.gif

A great value Bordeaux blend from Coonawarra! A deep rich colour with concentrated berry aromas. The palate is complex, with good tannin structure and a firm finish. 18 month maturation in new French and American oak has imparted vanillin flavour and spicy oak notes. The 20% merlot component softens the wine, which has continued to develop since bottling and is drinking very well now. Limited quantities available!

Awards and Accolades

☆☆☆☆ - Winestate Magazine
"The nose resembles a choc-mint biscuit. Palate is soft and complex with a mouthful of cassis and blackberry flavours, with a very Coonawarra herbal-like finish."
