Pertaringa Understudy Cabernet Petit Verdot 2006 |

I had a bottle of this overlooking the McLaren Vale a couple of weeks ago and was enthralled with the silky sveltness of the wine combining big licks of luscious fruit, tannin and sweet perfumed richness. With two medals already in a very competitive arena, this has got to be without exception one of the best value Cabernets around and is a must for your cellar! Winery Notes;Pertaringa's Understudy Cabernet Petit Verdot has a deep crimson colour. A perfumed nose with violets and Turkish Delight particularly associated with Petit Verdot, underscored by blackcurrant and spice with earthy nuances. The palate indulges with luscious rich flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and stewed rhubarb. A well structured wine rounded off by well integrated oak characters and supple tannins.
