Victoria's first vineyard is a landmark in the Yarra Valley and an icon of the Australian wine industry.
Bright cherry red in colour, with good interplay between savoury spice, dried herb notes and dark cherry aromas. The palate delivers flavours of red berries, layered over dried herb notes. There's a hint of vanilla in attendance too. Rich, with great mouth-filling quality, the finish is long and delicate.

GOLD - Melbourne Wine Show 2015
94 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front "Grown on vines ranging from 15-25 years. All MV6 clone. 20% new French oak. I tasted this earlier this year and liked it a lot; I like it even more now. It’s become more undergrowthy, more complex. It’s light in colour but awash with morello cherry and twiggy spice notes, a seasoning of sweet/cedary oak playing amicably with the wine’s strengths. It’s one of those pinots you just want to lap up. Complex drinkability."
