Long Flat Red Cabernet Merlot 2008 |
| |
|
|
The Long Flat Red has always had a strong following because of its “drinkability”; The Cabernet contributes structure and ripe blackcurrant characters, which are complimented by the plum and dusty raspberry characters of the Merlot. They create just the right balance of juicy flavour, mixed with minty cedar, vanilla and charred oak ending in soft velvety tannins.
Enjoy this lovely red with slow cooked lamb casserole and root vegetables.
'Blended from various vineyards throughout south-eastern Australia, it has an inviting, clean aroma reminiscent of red berries and blackcurrants. The juicy, uncomplicated palate has middling body and soft tannins. A likeable red with purity of varietal characters.' - The Age, Epicure, Wine of the week, Ralph Kyte-Powell, June 2010.
