A beautifully rich and earthy wine, but with light berry undertones to cut through this richness. Hints of chocolate and mint add to this wines complexity. Balanced tannins bring a good finish to the wine. Great with rich slow roasted meats, Mushroom risottos, or rich cheeses and chutneys.

2014 Vintage: 11 Must Try Reds Before Summer - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Companion October 2017
90 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front "Succulent red of high gluggability. Cherry-berry compote, licorice, earthy scents, sniff of sarsaparilla. Good start. Palate is bright, juicy, has a little chomp, good dusting of savoury spice, finishes fresh. Medium bodied, stacks of flavour, watch out those charry chops and grilled vegies. Great drink for the bucks."
90 Points - James Halliday, The Wine Companion "Bright colour; we don't know how much tempranillo is in the blend, but whatever it is, the outcome is an attractive, fragrant and juicy blend, cherry (red and black) to the fore on the bouquet and gentle medium-bodied palate. No need at all for patience."
From The Winery
Colour: Medium deep Red
Aroma: Attractive blueberry fruit with some choc/mint undertones as well as a little spice and earthiness that add some complexity. The oak is very much in the background and plays no big role.
Palate: Rich, ripe and approachable, the sweetish blueberry and chocolate flavours are balanced nicely by fine tannins and good acid.
