Curious Shiraz 2009 |
| |
One of Australia's largest exporters and a kissing cousin of the famous Chateau Tahbilk, this wine is another example of central Victorian fruit and very good commercial wine making techniques. Deep purple in colour, with an intense aroma of dark fruits and spice, the 2009 Curious Shiraz expresses true varietal character. With subtly integrated American Oak balanced with ripe plums and blackberries, this wine has excellent structure and length. Secondary aromas of chocolate and spice add intrigue and complexity to the wine with soft tannins creating a supple and smooth wine with impressive length. Already having numerous gongs on the board this vintage has 3.5 stars in Winestate latest review and very impressive USA based write ups as well!
