Loaded with sweet dark fruit the aroma is rich and heady, with underlying oak and earth aromas. The flavour is full in your mouth, a microsecond of sweet fruit that turns into long drawn out tannins. WINEMAKER COMMENTS The grapes for this wine were sourced from two vineyards in the Heathcote Region near Colbinabbin. This is a classic Heathcote Shiraz, The colour is deep crimson with purple hues and densely packed with blackberries, leather, tar and briary aromas. The full-bodied palate is generous with plenty of sweet, ripe fruits, drying tannins and fine cleansing acidity to keep the palate fresh. This is a savoury style of wine that demands the attention of a rich slow braised meat dish or rare organic steak.
CELLARING Will reward 8-10 years of patient cellaring and be good until at least 2024.
