Striking deep purple in colour. Aromas include sweetly spiced blood plum and summer berries, with hints of chocolate and earthy complexity. The palate is brightly structured with rich, ripe flavours of plum and blackberry. The wine finishes with soft tannins and fresh, lush acidity.
Awards and Accolades
92 Points, Special Value Wine - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion "Whole bunches placed on the bottom of the fermenters, destemmed fruit on top and cooled to 10 degrees C for 5 days cold soak, the fermenters moved into sunlight to warm for wild ferment to commence, matured for 12 months in French oak (30% new). Very careful and thoughtful vinification has worked well: this is a well balanced shiraz with attractive juicy fruit flavours, good length and balance."
