A brand new Vintage and as always...YUM! I have been waiting for this monster to arrive for months now, as I knew it was going to be a giant killer, in quality and complexity. Probably one of the best Heathcote wines I have been able to source for you and hope you really enjoy.

This layered Heathcote Shiraz is more of the old world style. The nose takes a while to show rich tobacco, leather and some forest floor leafy notes along with pepper, rich layers of plum, blackberry and raspberry with delicate nuances of toasty cedar oak and spice.

The palate welcomes some time to breathe in the glass and we found a tremendous difference decanting this wine. It developed to fill the mouth with luscious plum and dark cherry and spices with mixed American and french oak. The wine is generous, rewarding and shows depth and layers for the years ahead. Cellaring potential is high and the food groups and matches really are of your own design. I tried some antipasto followed by beef cheeks braised with a little cognac on a bed of braised red cabbage.
