Awards and Accolades
93 Points - Tyson Stelzer "A blend led by long-ageing chardonnay, Taittinger's non-vintage spends a minimum of three years in its cellar prior to release. It retains accurate precision of citrus and stone fruits, with age contributing complex nuances of nutmeg and mixed spice."
From the Winery
The Taittinger Champagne house was born in Rheims in 1734 and their signature Brut Reserve mirrors their proud and distinguished past. The Brut Reserve is a blend of wines sourced from 34 different vineyards and vintages, containing Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (40%), as well as a high proportion of Chardonnay (40%) that is unique among non-vintage Champagnes. The delicately balanced Brut Reserve is produced every year without exception and spends a minimum of three years ageing in barrels.
The colour is brilliant golden straw. The bubbles are fine. The mousse is both discreet and persistent. Expressive with aromas of peach, white flowers and vanilla pod. Lively and fresh with excellent balance. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey.
Excellent as an aperitif or as an accompaniment to light seafood dishes or white meat.
