Another vintage, another point under its belt! A brilliant example of Yarra Valley Chardonnay that has delighted critics many times over recent vintages.
Giant Steps wines are a distinct expression of special, individual sub-regional vineyards, focusing exclusively on single vineyard Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sites throughout the Yarra Valley.
Naturally produced wines made without compromise with the objective of each wine being a faithful expression of site and vintage.
Awards and Accolades
96 Points, Special Value Wine - James Halliday, Wine Companion "Each of the '16 Giant Steps Chardonnays were vinified in exactly the same way (wild-fermented in French puncheons, 20% new, no battonage, matured for 10 months), each bottled 23 Jan '17. The Upper Yarra Valley gives the wine a finely honed elegance, casting a spell on the mouth. It's very long, and very fine. These three wines were tasted 1 week after bottling, hard on the wine, hard on the taster."

2015 Vintage: 96 Points - Campbell Mattinson, Wine Front "This wine sings. It hooks you straight off. Yes it tastes of white peach, crunchy apple, pear and grapefruit, and there might even be spots of honey and pineapple. But the main impression is the way it draws you straight in and keeps you under its spell long after you’ve swallowed. It really quite something. Sweet bran and assorted flashes of spice are part and parcel of a sensational offering. As indeed are long lines of cleansing/mouthwatering acidity."
