Great Margaret River Chardonnay with age is hard to find! Luckily, we're able to help in the form of Mandoon Estate's 2010 Reserve Chardonnay. Ex-Leeuwin Estate winemaker Ryan Sudano certainly knows how to make Chardonnay!!
Fruit is grown in the Wilyabrap region of Margaret River, ideal for chardonnay. Lifted and complex aromas of pear and ginger are complemented by sweet confectionary and buttery undertones. Barrel fermentation adds a complex layer of toasted almonds and vanilla. The palate is rich and generous with sweet fruit flavours. Lees stirring and barrel fermentation creates a complex texture and creamy softness, resulting in great length and a balanced finish.
