Careful matching of each clone to their respective site ensures balance and concentration of flavours through slow, even ripening. Similarly, cool, slow ferments allow maximum extraction of these same vineyard characteristics. The final wine is taught, harmonious blend of pear, white peach and grapefruit flavours with a refreshingly dry finish.
From The Winery
The Lane Vineyard Block Series show true varietal character and the influence of the terroir of The Lane Vineyard. Block numbers indicate the patch within the vineyard where the fruit is grown, as do the "Google Earth" coordinates on each label. Minimum intervention winemaking allows the vineyard to do the talking. The Block Series are stylish, fresh, fruit driven wines with a true sense of place

Reviews
"Falls into the riper category with stone fruit, melons and dried figs yet done well. Some ginger cream, oak spice, fleshy, fuller bodied but a trail of refreshing acidity keeps this afloat. Ready to go." 91 Points - The Wine Companion
