Harvested in Tasmania, quite ripe to give this wine a juicy, rich and quite full upon the palate. Upon the nose hints of ripe apricot, pear and subtle hints of ginger. Great pairing with Calamari and Risottos
From The Winery
Colour Pale straw with golden hues.
Aroma Ripe juicy pear and white peach fruit aromas, overlay hints of cinnamon, fennel and honey-blossom.
Palate Full textured and robust, the fruit flavours are dominated by juicy pear and fig, with subtle traces of citrus tart and fresh cut apple. The classic Tasmanian cool-climate acidity balances the wine, and gives focus and length to the generous fruit flavours.
Reviews
"The faintest touch of spritz underlines the nashi pear and spiced apple flavours, the wine with well above average depth. Tasmanian pinot gris cellars well, so don't be in a hurry to drink it." 93 Points - James Halliday, The Wine Companion
