Great example of refreshing semi-dry white wine perfect for the spring and summer days ahead.
Pouring a glass, you immediately notice the pristine golden straw colour, before the bouquet of fragrant honeysuckle, classic apricot and some faint herbaceous characters excite the nose. The palate opens with a rush of fresh lemony citrus, gradually subsiding to reveal flavours of ripe rockmelon, white peach and apricot. This Viognier just keeps giving with impressive length to the palate, a long finish and notes of stonefruit and lingering well afterwards.
This wine would be well suited to drinking alongside Asian inspired cuisine - the vibrant citrus profile of Viognier provides ample refreshment with spicier dishes.
