We appreciated being lucky enough to range the 2001 vintage and are absolutley thrilled with the 2002 which has the depth and detail in fruit and winemaking to blow your minds for well under $30.00 + retail.
This wine shows some excellent depth of color with youthful purple tints & aromas of soft dark chocolate/cherry ripe characters from the McLaren Vale fruit. The background mint (Padthaway) and red cherry (Beechworth) compliment the McLaren Vale fruit, subtle oak and char edge.
The wines great complexity, rich and sweet upfront with ripe tannins on the finish, confirms the best of the different regions. I enjoy looking at many wonderful wines and have found my sticky fingers plundering the pallets for this wine to take home and 'evaluate' on more than one occasion.
